Poison Ivy Bathroom

Ivy Bathroom to Poo in Peace

UPDATE: Added photos of the new plant growth and a few little additions like the sign and a new plant!

FORCED to redo: I ended up having all the plumbing under my house replaces when I purchased my home, so naturally it completely destroyed my super ugly early 2000's style shell bathroom...OH DARN. I was so sad to see it go and clearly it needed some love since it was completely demolished! After getting new tiling and drywall put in, I got to work!

I'm a plant crazed maniac shhh don't tell anyone. I am also a giant nerd. SO clearly I had to combine the two! I wanted a bathroom that was like walking into a secret garden where you could do your business and afterwards the plants took care of cleaning up the fumes HAHA! So, what better than combining some of my favorite comic characters with live and artificial plants! Meet the DC Ivy Bathroom. Even complete with an artists renditions (by Andrew Herman) of the characters that I purchased at a convention (yes I asked permission to cut them - even had him sign where they would still be intact!)

Here is a link to the artist of the DC characters on the walls

THRIFTING IS AMAZING

Second hand just means it got some love along the way. I am a big fan of thrifting and I've managed to be a mom of 2 and support myself and my exravagant decorating with the help of thrifting and second hand marketplaces. A Lot of what I created in this room was from thrifting and FB marketplace. I got the vanity for about $100 off of a person on marketplace. The mirror came with the house (the only good thing about that bathroom). The shelf for the plant and several of the vines and artificial flowers and even the cuttings for my plants came from marketplace and thrifts! Remember to grab a bottle of Windex and Blue Dawn (my absolute favorite cleaning products - I should probably ask for some affiliate stuff from them I preach it so much) and clean up those items when you get them to avoid any germs and residues from prior use.

Plants in the room: Pothos, Peace Lily (which I have replaced with a snake plant since the peace lily was grumpy) and heart leaf philodendron. The lights in the vanity are plant led plant lights. I keep them on when it's been cloudy for a while outside and the room isn't getting enough natural light.

Below I have posted the items that are seen in the room (that are able to be purchased outright).

Plant wall squares

Plant bulbs

Faux vines

Ceiling hanger

Murder sign

NON AMAZON ITEMS:

Plant hangers

Grass carpet

Vanity light

PS I do get affiliate credit for some items but I give honest reviews and I use all of the items I recommend in my own home!
